2930 YETTER COULTER SALES NOTES

We use 20" blades to allow for more depth. Smaller blades are optional. They would penetrate the ground easier because of less surface to push into ground.

The coulter is designed to cut trash (crop residue) so knives can run behind them without build up on the knives. Do not chop stalks before running, the stringy pieces left do not cut well and will plug between the knife and coulter.

If you are trying to cut a path for the knife to follow into a Yetter model 2920 (#25735) would be needed. You could also separate the coulter and the shank onto sperate bars. Then pull the coulter through the ground a few feet and mount the knife directly above the line the coulter made. A Yetter 2920 would make the knife and coulter move parallel to one another, separating the shank and coulter which help get you through also.

Maintenance simply requires you to keep bolts tight and to grease the coulter daily.

The 2996 gets you through the heaviest trash. Having the knife right next to the coulter blade keeps trash out. An optional scraper is recommended for keeping trash out from between the two. Look to your Impl. dealer for units for planters - these have a 20" blade and will not fit the space available on planters.
